Need assistance with wildlife and fish management on your ranch, backyard, or pond? Simply call your local County Extension Agent.
Various aquaculture and pond management activities may require permits or licenses from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and/or the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. Anyone seeking to pursue these activities should first contact the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to determine if any wastewater authorizations are required https://www.tceq.texas.gov/permitting/business_permitting.html. Activities involving exotic species will require a permit from Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. The most recent versions of the application forms can always be found on the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department website at http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/business/permits/. Certain commercial licenses may also be required by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for pond management activities. For information on commercial licenses, please visit https://tpwd.texas.gov/fishboat/fish/commercial/.
