SUMMARY:The Tiniest Pond Managers: Natural Bacteria and Bacterial Derived Products
DESCRIPTION:Presented by: \nDr. Todd Sink \nAquaculture Extension Specialist\, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service \nDirector\, TAMU Aquatic Diagnostics Laboratory \nDescription: \nHave you ever thought about the different types of bacteria in your pond? Bacteria can be your best friend and the best managers your pond has ever seen. They work continuously\, and they do much of the work you don’t want to do. \nThis webinar will explore the different types of bacteria in your pond\, what they do for your pond\, fish\, water quality\, or aquatic plants\, and cover the numerous types of different bacterial\, bacteria-derived\, and bacterial support products on the market for pond management. Bacterial products can reduce ammonia to protect fish\, cycle phosphorus and nitrogen to limit aquatic vegetation\, manage algal blooms\, break down decaying plants after herbicide treatments\, digest sludge to deepen your pond\, and much more all at a fraction of the costs of equivalent management strategies such as filters\, herbicides\, dredging\, aeration\, etc. \nThe best part of bacterial products is their ease of use – typically\, you can just pour in your pond and walk away! They do the work for you. \nThere will be a 30-minute Q&A session at the conclusion of the webinar. \nRegister by clicking HERE. \nA Special Thank You to Our Silent Sponsors
